London Tech Week Comes to White City’s Innovation District

Thanks to being internationally recognised as an “opportunity area” and its new innovation hub driven by Imperial College, White City is officially a force to be reckoned with when it comes to cutting edge ideas and high tech.

Upstream’s Future Of Tech social at White City Place was one of this year’s hottest tickets at London Tech Week and was a sell-out success with punchy, inspirational talks and over 130 guests networking over prosecco and byte-ing into pizza and sushi.

Dan Cobley: Partner, Blenheim Chalcot @dcobley @blenheimchalcot

Not only has Dan helped Lord Sugar choose an Apprentice, he joined Blenheim Chalcot as a partner in 2014 and is the managing partner for FinTech, as well as a trustee of The Technology Trust who help charities make the most of technology.

BBC Design & Engineering and Big Tech
Grace Boswood: COO, BBC Design & Engineering @GBKarthi @BBC #design #engineering

Grace is responsible for driving BBC’s digital strategy and developing its Voice Assistant technology. She also heads up the editorial teams who look after the BBC Homepage and BBC Archive.

Helene Steiner: Co-founder and COO,OpenCell @heleneOpenCell @OpenCellLondon

Previously a postdoc research fellow at Microsoft Research Cambridge, Helene is a designer-engineer at the interface of technology and science, developing computational and biological design tools for proteins and materials. She has been awarded a Frontier of Science, Kavli Fellowship by the National Academy of Sciences.

Emmanuel Ayoola: Head Of Corporate Relations, Generating Genius @emmanuelayoola_ @GeneratingG

Emmanuel advises on how companies can attract more diverse students with STEM backgrounds, supporting companies with student engagement activities and managing Generating Genius’ A-Level programme of over 80 students to develop talent from under-represented communities.
