Case study 3: Swift connections that benefit the local community

Case study 3: Swift connections into tech & creative businesses that benefit the local community

Westfield London and Upstream have a strong working relationship, which allows both to benefit from each other’s extended networks and to use the other as a sounding board. When Westfield London briefed Upstream on an exciting sustainable fashion competition and exhibition named Future Fashion, we facilitated a number of introductions, including a local resident whose start-up, SaveMyWardrobe, is part of Facebook’s Accelerator commerce program. By attending an Upstream Christmas mixer, the Westfield London team also met British designer and local resident Emily Carter, whose products have been featured in both the FT and Vogue. Westfield London then invited Emily to be a judge for their Future Fashion competition.

Testimonial: We continue to work collaboratively with Team Upstream as they offer swift solutions and results. Their introductions to local organisations have strengthened our community initiatives for Westfield London and reinforced our local connections as a destination in west London. It’s a pleasure to work with such a warm and passionate team.” – Katie Wyle, General Manager, Westfield London
